I am joining in on the Friday fun at Breathing in Grace.

Here in Minnesota we are getting ready for Winter. I always try to put more non-perishable items on my shelves in the winter. Never know when or for how long we could be snowed in. Living 22 miles from town can make for a very long Winter.

Having said that I thought I would share some of the flowers and things from my garden this year.

I needed some whimsy this summer. And, what could be more whimsical than a fairy garden?
A purple flower. I don;t know the name I just like it. If you look closely on the left hand side is some sort of bug. I didn't know he was there when I took the photo.
A yellowish something.
An unwanted but necessary visitor.

A pansy after the rain.

There were twins this year. The little buggers tag teamed me. They came into the yard and munched on everything. The ate my one and only rose bush right into the ground. But I love them anyway.
In honor of all of our Veterans past, present and future thank you.

  1. I can't imagine what it must be like in your part of the country. A couple of inches of snow here in Texas will cause havoc. Your pansy and deer are really sweet and that last creature quite majestic!

    1. Thank you for stopping by. The bald eagle and 2 others were hanging out in the trees for a couple of weeks. I think there must have been something in the woods they had their eyes on.

  2. I enjoyed your pictures! It must be so nice to live out where you can see the deer roaming freely. Living in Texas we don't have to worry about being snowed in, sometimes I do wish we had colder winters. We're just now getting Fall temps. Hope you have a great weekend.

  3. Thank you for stopping by! I do love seeing the deer come in. They have all disappeared for now as if by magic. How would they know it is hunting season? I only like the snow on Christmas Eve and Day. After that it is too much bother.
